Learning Assistance Center
Need a tutor? The Learning Assistance Center can help.
The CVCC Learning Assistance Center is here to provide help to students to achieve academic success.
In addition, students who are making grades “80” or lower in any class are eligible for free tutorial help. Students interested in either using the LAC or receiving a tutor should contact us for additional information.
Also, paid peer tutors are needed in all academic areas each semester. Contact Cindy Ly, Peer Tutor Coordinator, at cly@cvcc.edu.
The Learning Assistant Center also offers online writing e-help.
Important Notice: Due to the limitations posed by the COVID-19 virus, the Learning Assistance Center is operating remotely until further notice. While the home of the Learning Assistance Center is located on the first floor of the Cuyler A. Dunbar (CAD) Building, this semester the Learning Assistance Center (LAC), part of CVCC's Learning Assistance Program, will not provide walk-in tutoring assistance during this health emergency. CVCC students experiencing academic difficulties or desiring to improve their academic performance can receive individual assistance by contacting the members of the LAC staff appropriate to their course of study online through WebEx or by email. |
